National PA Day

Invite Your Representatives to Meet with a PA

As governments across Canada work to reduce wait times and ease pressure on the health care workforce, Physician Assistants (PAs) are a practical, proven part of the solution. Ahead of National PA Day on November 27, help us show elected officials what PAs contribute to their communities by inviting your Member of Parliament and your provincial representative to meet with a local PA.

Decreasing Wait Times

PAs help manage patient flow and assist with triage in emergency departments, so patients are seen sooner and pressure on busy teams is reduced.

Expanding Access to Care

PAs expand the capacity of primary care practices, helping more unattached patients find ongoing care close to home.

Strengthening Teams

PAs work in direct collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, adding capacity and helping prevent provider burnout in communities across Canada.

Help us raise awareness with your elected officials.

It only takes a minute to make a difference. Use the tool below to send a pre-written, customizable email to your Member of Parliament and your provincial representative.

Your message will ask each of them for a 15-minute meeting, in person or virtually, to hear what is happening in the clinics and hospitals in your community. It will also invite them to recognize National PA Day on November 27 with a message of support using #CanadaDeservesPAs.
